Details about Donations

Please consider about supporting the Japan Folk Crafts Museum.
When we stand alone in the Museum, we feel refreshed. The beautiful past which we all have lost would come back.
This is something which heals our hearts, teaches us what is necessary or not for our daily lives in this troubled world. At the same time, the Museum is the sustenance for creativity to the craft persons who now produce amazing works, and the foundation of their spirits. Till now the Museum has been supported by the understanding and cooperation of the people who love Mingei, but we still need more support to maintain. Our collection is, so to say, a common property of the world. Our valuable building has been designated as Tokyo Metropolitan Government Designated Tangible Cultural Property (Building) in 2021. Your donations help us to care for our collection, share them with the world, and preserve the building.
Our largest exhibition hall has been renovated and restored.
Please visit us. We’re always moving forward.
